She was a deputy to the sixth through eighth convocations of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR and a deputy chairman at the seventh and eighth convocations.

In 1961 she received the V. Filatov Prize of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR. Puchkovskaia has been awarded the Order of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, three other orders, and several medals.
